Just some pictures of airplanes (little) near Rheims during a week-end (taken last year)

I am not an expert to recognize these planes....but our flying birds (in France we call "cuckoo")are so nice and the liberty to be able to fly (if we can be a bird) is inside of all of us !

Thanks for looking

Henri,

You captured quite a nice bunch of old birds, amongst others the Stampe (canopied biplane, Belgian) and the Havilland Gipsy Moth (British).

By the way, here's a small fact:most pilots flying aircraft like these are a bit careful about what and when they eat: Castor Oil spraying from the engine does its trick to your bowels anytime! :D

Henri,

I even like the second batch better! But I'll have to think awahile about #1 ... it'll come to me. 2-4 are easy: Stampes.

So there you are in your Spad/Fokker DVII ... and just when you spot the enemy, something urgent is pressing ... in your pants.:p If only: that would stop all fights! I mean: I just can't envison soldiers in the middle of battle ... "sorry mate, gotta take crap firs .. too late"
