Advertisement Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Hi echorec, Take a look here The Bishop Arms. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
chilihead Posted January 23, 2008 Share #2 Posted January 23, 2008 Too much development, your white areas are about where sunlit snow should be, and this is shot on an overcast day- - cut back your dev. time by at least two - three minutes and you will see a nice negative. echorec Posted January 23, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted January 23, 2008 Hi Peter, You are probably right, This was developed by a lab though. Best regards, Gunnar
Mauribix Posted January 24, 2008 Share #4 Posted January 24, 2008 I don't second Peter's comment. In my humble opinion, shots like this grow in dramatic feelings together with contrast. I like the tones: hard, contrasty, and fine detailed. If i had to make something different, i would just make a black frame around. best Maurizio

Simple1 Posted January 28, 2008 Share #6 Posted January 28, 2008 Striking how much influence the border has upon an image and I like the adjustments you made as well - the pavers look much better.

Doc Henry Posted January 28, 2008 Share #10 Posted January 28, 2008 Gunnar As told Maurizio and Lee a border has an influence Nice shot and beautiful contrast Gunnar As told Peter, yes when we develop b&w film by the laboratory, sometimes they don't push development time to have more contrast and generally sensor in Leica camera gives usually much contrast
