Until then, it's pictures . . .
Marquinius Posted January 23, 2008 Share #4 Posted January 23, 2008 Mark, Racy picture of a racy aircraft. Two thoughts: - I'm going to Oshkosh this year and will travel via Washington to the National Museum. I heard about this one also: any comparison notes? - flying in a P51: you only need two things to fly: airspeed and money. In Holland you can fly backseat (cramped, but hey, who's complaining) for something like € 750 / 20 minutes. I'll pass for a while and buy yet another camera related thingy for same amount. Marco Macro, If you've not seen the National Air and Space Museum (NASM) on the Mall (downtown DC), then I would see that first. The Udvar-Hazy Museum (also part of the Smithsonian) is located in Dulles, VA - about 45 minutes from downtown DC. Udvar-Hazy has a very impressive static display, much larger than NASM.
