Is this a hex that I can convert? How? [ An online HEX converter does not help me. ] Edited yesterday at 03:18 PM by Alberti
Advertisement Posted yesterday at 03:17 PM Posted yesterday at 03:17 PM Hi Alberti, Take a look here Unique Image Id ?? . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
marchyman Posted yesterday at 06:46 PM Share #2 Posted yesterday at 06:46 PM It looks like a UUID, albeit one that started out as a smaller pseudo random identifier then expanded to UUID size by prepending zeros. Perhaps the Leica processor can't generate a 128 bit random so comes up with a smaller number then pads it to size. Each ID is assumed to be unique. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universally_unique_identifier It will not tell you the number of real shots. It's apparently intended for use by image catalogs/editors to keep track of images that may have had file name and/or metadata changed.
