Tracing who repainted my black M3 — Serial #1025775

I picked up a black paint M3 (serial 1025775) and got curious about its history.

Checked the serial — it's a 1961 chrome from batch 1023001–1027800. Definitely a repaint, not factory BP.

Asked the seller. He either doesn't know or doesn't remember. Fair enough.

So now I'm trying to trace who did the work. Not for any dispute — I like the camera, I shoot it. Just want to know its story before the trail goes completely cold.

- Cameraworks-UK
- Sherry Krauter
- YYe Camera — confirmed not them
- Stuart Vu — out of business 15+ years
- Shintaro — retired, unreachable

Still waiting on most replies.
