Because of the firewall problems yesterday, people were getting notifications that their accounts were banned. Which there were not.

Click the X and it'll go away, or click the banner and it'll tell you.

I also saw this but in addition had a very peculiar e-mail telling me I have been inactive for a long time (I have not), that I am in Chennai, India (I am not) and asking me to log in again (I did).  I was then advised to change my password which I also did but now the system still thinks I am logging in from India.

Is this what you would expect to see from a "firewall problem" or has there been a security breach on the site?

And I got a request by email — to see if it's really me:

Device                         Computer
Estimated Location    Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, 60313, Germany

Well that's a bit off - more than 100km. So a bit strange. The mailer wanted me to 'secure my account'. Log in – of course using the provided embedded link. 😪

i see John has the same problem, at least he does not hear that song Hey Ms Robinson from The Graduate by Simon and Garfunkel. 😁

There has been no security breach.

Andreas has explained the problem in the About the Forum area and in the Announcement at the head of the forum pages.
