Hola. Hoy no les hago una pregunta, sino que les comparto información que el Sr. Eberhard Jacob de Leica Camera AG tuvo la amabilidad de brindarme el 14 de enero de 2019, cuando preguntó por mi cámara Leica IIIc con números rojos.

Respondió que se fabricó en febrero de 1948 como parte de un lote de 99 cámaras para soldados estadounidenses en Alemania (Eucom Exchange). Esta "edición especial" no se menciona en ningún libro sobre Leica.

Hello, these red serial leicas are a mystery.. the have been forgotten, but genuine.

including yours, I have recorded serials:

423667 (Eucom)

423676 (Offenbach)

423616

423624

A reliable source once told me that an ex Wetzlar factory worker said that these red numbers denoted a shutter modification that would later be implemented in the IIIF. 
One of these cameras would have to be inspected internally to investigate.
