TL3 Posted 9 hours ago Share #1 Posted 9 hours ago Advertisement (gone after registration) I will be doing a pro bono wedding for family, so expectations are not very high. The only other wedding I’ve done (also pro bono) was with a CL with 35mm and a TL2 with 60mm macro. I think it went reasonably well considering the gear I was using, but I did hit the buffer limit during the walk down the aisle. I’ve since acquired a Lumix G9 with 10-25mm and the Leica M9 with 35 mm FLE though. I was originally planning to use the G9, but I suddenly starting thinking, would it be wise to try using the M9? I am admittedly a newbie with rangefinders, so it would definitely not be the main camera, but perhaps ok for a 2nd/3rd camera, maybe just for shots of guests, family, and when everyone is standing still during the ceremony. Or I am just at risk of carrying too much gear around to do a decent job?
Advertisement Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Hi TL3, Take a look here Using M9 for a wedding in 2025?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Sensorix Posted 9 hours ago Share #2 Posted 9 hours ago The M9 definitely works with the 35mm lens at wedding photography. But you'll need plenty of new batteries, otherwise it'll go wrong...
TL3 Posted 6 hours ago Author Share #3 Posted 6 hours ago Ahh yikes, I only have the one battery which usually lasts weeks with my occasional use, but I've def never tried to use it for an extended shooting session. I guess I can carry it in a bag for occasional use during the wedding.
