FrozenInTime Posted 2 hours ago Share #2 Posted 2 hours ago That was an unexpected announcement. Summilux 50/1.4 black paint on brass ; immediately ordered ! Hate myself now for becoming such a fashion victim.
Elliot Harper Posted 1 hour ago Share #3 Posted 1 hour ago Damn. I thought I am done with Leica this year. But now, I am looking at my M11-P safari, and M10-R black paint. I have to have matching color lenses to pair with them. I hate myself too. 1
catacore Posted 1 hour ago Share #4 Posted 1 hour ago Waiting for a Classic silver version to hit the used market 🤣 One with a tight (read "normal") aperture ring (as opposed to loose - had 2 of these so far).
darylgo Posted 47 minutes ago Share #5 Posted 47 minutes ago The current silver and black 50 summilux' esthetically falls short for me, the safari adds esthetics and the just released glossy black is beautiful. I ordered the glossy black and cancelled when finding it is the reissue. My current 50's include a superb ver. 2, it is a lens that is the rare perfectly centered mechanically aligned lens and the glossy black is disappointingly redundant. Long story short (too late?) the safari is ordered.
