Hi everyone,
I recently dropped my Leica R6.2 and I’m trying to repair the damage myself. The camera still works mechanically, but two things need to be fixed:

  1. The rewind shaft and crank the broke and came off.

  2. The hot shoe that has a bent downward's rail.

I have a Leica R5 as a doner for the broken parts.

I’m looking for step-by-step top plate disassembly instructions specifically for the R6.2 or R6.

If anyone has:

  • a service manual,

  • top plate removal tips,

  • photos of the disassembly sequence, or

  • advice on safely lifting the top without damaging the meter wiring,

…I’d really appreciate it.

I’m comfortable doing careful mechanical work, just want to avoid damaging the meter PCB or shutter-speed coupling under the dial.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help
