Light meter issue in MP? 1/500 vs 1/250 multiple stop difference on same spot.

Hi, I noticed something and I feel like I have read about this issue somewhere else, on the MPs. 

I exclusively shoot Trix at box speed of ISO 400, recently I noticed while I was abroad that when changing the shutter speed from 1/500 to 1/250 I noticed a big difference in what the light meter suggested. I for some reason the same light showed me f16 @ 1/500 to f4 @ 1/250. The F4 was correct. 

Who else has had this issue? I have not changed battery yet to see a difference but right now its so dark so I can't use 1/500 nor 1/250 to try it out in the way I want. 

My MP is from 2023/11.
