Aussierob78 Posted 20 hours ago Share #1 Posted 20 hours ago (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Narrowing down my search, and I’ve been offered a few different black MP cameras all near the same price. 2002 MP. Serial suggests it has an M6 iso dial, it does not. Assuming replaced at some stage. 30 day warranty 2017 MP. Fully boxed, seller says 2-3 rolls shot. Photos suggest more, but it’s near mint. No warranty 2023 MP. Fully boxed. EBay seller. No warranty, looks to be in excellent condition. Seller has 93% feedback from cancelling sales he wasn’t happy with the final amount for. realistically very little difference between them price wise and condition wise. Has there been much, aside from the dust issue in early MP cameras, that has changed. Are the earlier date units built differently? Should I get a more recent build serial? am I over thinking it? burchyk Posted 20 hours ago Share #2 Posted 20 hours ago From my own experience with 3 film Ms I'd go for the one with the warranty.

There is no serial number that separates early MPs with M6 dial from those with MP dial. For example, 2889997 has an MP dial, while 2890483 has an M6 dial. Can't help with your question, I am afraid. My 2002 MP never had a problem, but that does not mean that others from that year work as well.
Mute-on Posted 14 hours ago Share #4 Posted 14 hours ago Buy the one you can hold in your hands before forking over you hard earned dollars. Anything else is a gamble.
