Leica X Type 113 'close focus' question

I'm considering acquiring a Leica X Type 113 and aware of the fact the lens automatically stops down from f1.7 to f2.8 at c. 1m and less close focus subject distances.

I'm wondering if with a supplementary close up lens attached, and when focusing (via manual focus) to 1m and less, the auto stop down still occurs? 

I've successfully used various supp. c/u lenses with a Leica X1 , X2 and X Vario – with best results using various diopter Leitz Elpro c/u lenses. I'm aware that at f1.7 at close focus distances (if possible) the DOF will be minimal but image stacking could enable interesting results.
