Pelu2010 Posted 22 hours ago Share #1  Posted 22 hours ago Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey, i am a bit frustrated. With every firmware update there are things that don't work with sigma lense. AF-AE Lock does not work on the SL2-S FW 6.2.0 If you configure the camera that the joystick should execute AE-AF Lock the camera only shows a Lock Sign. And the camera does not look for AF. Anybody experiencing this? cheers Peter
Advertisement Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Hi Pelu2010, Take a look here Sigma 35 mm 1:2 Contemporary > Joystick does not execute AE-Lock. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Pelu2010 Posted 11 hours ago Author Share #2  Posted 11 hours ago I’m a bit confused about something. At first, I had the issue with the Sigma 35 mm — no AF lock when using the joystick. Then I mounted the Leica 14–24 mm, and the same problem occurred.  During my second test, I switched to a different user profile. Since I wasn’t sure which user the camera was currently set to, I selected Profile 1, which I normally use for long exposures. And suddenly, the AF lock worked again — with both lenses. Now I have no idea why this strange error occurred in the first place, or where this little “lock” icon actually comes from.  It would be extremely helpful if the camera indicated which base profile the current user setup is derived from, instead of only showing an “X” next to the profile name. That way, it would be much easier to identify what has actually been modified within the selected user profile.  Maybe someone knows where this strange behavior comes from?  cheers Peter
