Even the Safari.  When this happens, it’s usually an indication that the distributor has been given the nod about the release of the next best thing and is seeking to sell down stock.  I’ve no idea if that’s the case but I recall they did something similar with the M10 series. Or they just aren’t selling! It’s the same in the USA and most other markets. Funny thing about Leica is a new product seems to drive up sales of the last previous version release as there are so many “buy it quick it will be the last classic” curmudgeons lol
Advertisement Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Hi kiwidad, Take a look here Possible hints that the M12 is approaching. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Kiwimac Posted 5 hours ago Author Share #22  Posted 5 hours ago Given that NZ has only about 5.5 million people in, by the time you deduct non photographers, photographers who don’t want an M, photographers who want one but can’t afford one etc etc the pool of buyers is pretty small.  There’s very little retail competition in NZ for anything. Even the supermarkets are all owned by only 2 companies.  When the Leica distributor starts giving away free things, there’s a reason. Even the Safari is included and that’s barely been out 6 months.
