DermMD Posted 5 hours ago Share #1 Posted 5 hours ago Advertisement (gone after registration) 1) The Leica SF40 flash will not function in TTL mode on the Leica D-Lux 8 "100 Anniversary" edition. It will trigger in Manual mode. It is unfortunate that Leica has decided not to support their own products in TTL mode for their dedicated customers. 2) The internet and specifically Youtube videos have a number of endorsements of the Godux X3 trigger for Leica along with the iT30 flash. The X3 Leica trigger, version 1.09, does not allow one to sync in TTL reliability with the iT30 on this same camera. The X3 along with the it30 has the potential to allow Leica photographers to use a small convenient off camera flash for "fill in" outdoor photography. These innovative and relatively inexpensive products may work with G series cameras. 3) My new Leica D-Lux 8 developed what looks like some corrosion on the hot shoe as seen in this photo within 4 weeks. Dealer replaced camera but the replacement is exhibiting similar early changes. Clearly a poor choice of materials by Leica. Welcome, dear visitor!
