Visoflex 2 stops working from time to time

I am keen testing the differences with EVF and RF with my M11 (guess why). Today I took the M11 + Visoflex on my midday stroll to do a couple of experiments in focusing and composition. Especially as I only took my 24mm Elmarit with me.

Unfortunately the Visoflex 2 stopped working every now and then. That means: when I approached the Visoflex it stayed dark, Switching the camera on and off did solve the problem only occasionally. Taking out the battery neither. The only cure was: switch off the camera, take off the Visoflex and switch the camera back on. Even this procedure needed to be repeated to get it back working. Back at home I wasn't able to reproduce the problem. Played with power settings to no avail. 

Any thoughts? Someone experienced that too? Do I miss something? Most likely I need to send it back to the dealer.
