zoracila Posted Thursday at 12:38 PM Share #1 Posted Thursday at 12:38 PM Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi folks, I'm wondering if this is an issue I should be concerned about. I've been shooting in some humidity for a few days and noticed for the first time what appears to be condensation on the sensor, shot below. There was no condensation on the lens when I took the sample shot and it cleared up after 10-15 minutes. Also I noticed dust in the lens, it's not impacting the shots taken but again just wondering if others have experienced this. Thanks in advance! Welcome, dear visitor! LocalHero1953 Posted Thursday at 01:26 PM Share #2 Posted Thursday at 01:26 PM (edited) No (I have a Q3 43). Nothing internal like that should happen - it's supposed to be weather-sealed. Edited Thursday at 01:26 PM by LocalHero1953
Tarekith Posted Thursday at 02:41 PM Share #3 Posted Thursday at 02:41 PM I shoot in the rain and fog all the time with my Q43 and never seen that, sorry.
zoracila Posted Thursday at 03:35 PM Author Share #4 Posted Thursday at 03:35 PM Thanks for the quick replies. I'll put a warranty claim on this, hopefully Leica will fix it.
Jeff S Posted Thursday at 04:12 PM Share #5 Posted Thursday at 04:12 PM Or have dealer replace if you recently bought.
bobtodrick Posted Thursday at 05:41 PM Share #6 Posted Thursday at 05:41 PM Pretty sure Leica will ante up on this. I live in an area that gets a lot drizzly days...it's never stopped my from shooting and I've never experienced anything like this...and that's with the original Q that isn't weatherproofed. helged Posted Thursday at 06:41 PM Share #7 Posted Thursday at 06:41 PM Advertisement (gone after registration) This is something that Leica will take care of. On the positive side; (average) repair time at Leica is now short; see the overview below that I received after sending a Q3-28mm to Leica for sensor cleaning. Welcome, dear visitor! DenverSteve Posted yesterday at 05:26 PM Share #8 Posted yesterday at 05:26 PM If that was purchased new from an authorized dealer (you don't include any information to know where you are or where you purchased the camera new) I'm pretty sure Leica would handle this for you.
