ajz Posted Thursday at 12:35 AM Share #1 Posted Thursday at 12:35 AM Advertisement (gone after registration) While traveling, I had to use the internal image storage. I found the Mac Book Air image capture program could automatically transfer both internal and sd card images to a specific folder on the MacBook itself or and external drive folder directly from the camera’s usb-c port. This program was faster than using drag and drop, commander one, etc. I ended up on this trip > using the internal storage completely in the camera and transferring all the files to my back up hard drives. It was simple transfer as the program recognized the present of the m11 device quickly and easy designation of where to copy the camera stored files…so the question is : is there a simple transfer program for win 11 instead of using the file explorer? This potential would alleviate downloading the internal memory files to an sd card. And then having the win11 read the sd card and subsequent transfer. Thanks for any ideas. Windows will automatically recognise the camera and enumerate the internal + SD storage so you can transfer either or both to your desired target drive or directory. Wrt speed with good a quality USB-C cable any modern hardware will transfer the data at ~300+Mb/s the speed ultimately limited by the speed of your target drive Edited Thursday at 09:49 PM by eaharman Typo corrected
ajz Posted 9 hours ago Author Share #3 Posted 9 hours ago Thanks Eaharman My Win 11 doesn't seem to recognize the M11 camera's port as does Macbook Air M4. I do have it set to PTP. My Win 11 Classic Lightroom does not recognize the camera either. The MacBook Air Light room does not recognize the camera but the Apple Image Capture software instantly recognizes and transfers the images on either internal memory or the SD card. So I am wondering is there a win11 product that is equivalent to the MacBook Air's Image Capture?
