PeterMM1 Posted 11 hours ago Share #1 Posted 11 hours ago Advertisement (gone after registration) I haven’t been active here for quite a while — life and family health issues took priority for a time. My photography journey began back in the 1970s, when I built a full darkroom setup with an enlarger, dry mount press, and all the essentials. Those film days were wonderful, but I’ve realized that I no longer have the time or interest to work with film. I’ve also never been drawn to color photography, which explains my ongoing love for the Leica Monochrom cameras. Recently, I’ve been taking inventory and selling off much of my gear. Through that process, I came to recognize that my true go-to camera has always been the original Leica Monochrom (MM1) with the CCD sensor. I’ve sold my M2 and M3 film cameras, as well as the 246 Monochrom and M10, and I’ve let go of my more collectible lenses. These days, I’ve pared things down to a lightweight, practical setup — just my MM1 and a small selection of lenses: 28mm, 35mm, and 50mm, plus a few others I couldn’t part with. It feels good to simplify. I’m looking forward to focusing less on collecting gear and more on simply shooting again. Cheers all!

Ken Abrahams Posted 7 hours ago Share #2 Posted 7 hours ago Well done Peter, I have some gear that doesn't get used anymore however I have been reluctant to sell as yet. A couple of older SL camera models need to go and one or two 35 mm lenses too. I wont sell the MM1 or M10M. Ken
