PeteB Posted September 26 Share #1 Posted September 26 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've tried using the Akara template and pens but it rubbed off after a couple of lens changes so is it possible to get a lens coded indelibly/properly? By Leica maybe?
Advertisement Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Hi PeteB, Take a look here 6 Bit Coding?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
plaidshirts Posted September 26 Share #2 Posted September 26 Leica used to do it for about $300usd as of few years ago but I'm not sure what the current price is.
Alexander108 Posted September 28 Share #3 Posted September 28 (edited) A friend of mine just did that. He told me that it cost him 600 EUR and it took a few months. I 3D printed a mask and was not successful until I used Uni Super Ink Marker. Two of my five lenses did not come with 6 bit coding. I only added the black dots. Very little wear with that pen it seems. When I'm traveling I'll take the pen and the 3D printed part with me to quickly freshen it up. A matter of a few minutes.
