Carsten Machholdt Posted September 11 Share #1  Posted September 11 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my Leica R8. I'm getting dark borders in bottom of each negative. Some small other larger and some nearly half of the image. Size could be depending on shutter speed. Could it be because shutter not fully opens. See picture. Is there something I can try myself, or is the camera just dead 😞  Welcome, dear visitor! Chuck Albertson Posted September 11 Share #2 Â Posted September 11 Time for a service call. Might be shutter bounce.

Shutter Capping, Bounce would show at the top of the picture. Could also be a slow mirror. But I agree that a service is needed. This isn't anything you can easily fix at home.
