01maciel Posted September 10 Share #1 Posted September 10 Advertisement (gone after registration) For those who don't yet use AI functions in their software to develop their photos and prefer to do it manually, there is a video showing how to achieve local contrasts in highlights in raw images using darktable. For me, the result is nothing short of magical. Bland photos are suddenly transformed into appealing images. Contrasts and colours are taken from the colour space of the photo and not added artificially, which I find very remarkable and important. I highly recommend the video, which uses a few examples to show how to proceed step by step. 2
Advertisement Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Hi 01maciel, Take a look here Local contrasts in highlights. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Sharpdressed Posted September 17 Share #2 Posted September 17 Very nice. I’m switching from Capture One to Darktable. I somewhat find Darktable fascinating. Lots of features for sure. I found that with the right icc profile (if you can profile your camera) colors looks better than Capture One.
