Vladislava Závodská has showcased some exceptional photographs in the Leica online gallery. You can find them here: https://lfi-online.de/en/gallery/vladislava-z-c3-a1vodsk-c3-a1-595832/thambar-9cm-f2-2-2f-1938.html    These images were captured using the modern Thambar 90 f/2.2 lens. I must say, I’ve never fully appreciated the capabilities of this lens until now.

Upon closer examination, it appears that the images were captured using the vintage lens.

Thank you for the link, Jeffry.  Varied, skillful and thoughtful use of the lens.  Two questions: 

(1) Some of the photos show a focal length different from 90; how does that work?

(2) Leica cautions against using the center spot filter above f6.3 in order to avoid a darkened center.  She shot a fair number of photos stopped down to f9 or above.  If she didn't use the filter for those shots, how did she still obtain the doughnut-ringed points of light?
