Jan1985 Posted August 29 Share #1 Posted August 29 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm now starting to use an external display together with the SL3-S via HDMI. The only problem I have is, that I can't find any setting in the menu which allows to turn on the info with all the information I see on the SL3-S display like aperture, ISO, shutter angle and so on.... Does anybody know if there is an option? Or can you generally just the pure image?
Advertisement Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Hi Jan1985, Take a look here Leica SL3-S - External HDMI Monitor - How to turn on info bar?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
LocalHero1953 Posted August 29 Share #2 Posted August 29 Which external monitor? Isn't that where you would normally look? It's a long time since I used one, (BM VideoAssist), but I recall managing everything from the monitor.

The only option is to turn the sound off or on (in case you mic is connected to the external recorder). Your external display may have options for showing zebras, frame rate, bit depth, double-tap to punch-in, sound levels, etc., but those are independent from what the camera shows you. The reason why those options aren't available in the HDMI output is because they would be burned-in to your image. Some early cameras with HDMI let you do that (not sure about Leica), but it could lead to recording unusable footage. 1

It’s more convinient for longer sessions. but with that hints I will do my Settings on the Internal display.
