So finally, we are on our way back to southern Germany. Since we are traveling with a caravan, we like to take it slow and make a stopover every once in a while. So this time, we stopped at the "Lüneburger Heide", a landscape in northern Germany with foremost heath, geast and woodland (according to Wikipedia). Especially in July through September, the heath is flowering (the plants are called Common or Ling Heather). And together with the Common Juniper and the Grey Hair Grass, the area gives a very nice colorful landscape!

We took short walks through the area, really nice to look and photograph!

So this is not exactly Denmark, but for my own road trip travel itinerary it fits the bill... 🙂 Andreas

Somehow, I had the feeling that all over sudden my Leica also has a this magenta cast... but I am not sure if its a problem of the camera 🙂

So this is the end of the roadtrip - vacation is over! Tomorrow, we will drive back the last kilometers...

What a trip! Lots of nature experience - absolutely recommendable! We have been quite often stunned by the overwhelmingly impressive landscapes!

I hope you liked the pictures a little bit and had fun following our trip!

So all the best regards to everyone involved!

Very nice pictures in your last two posts! I especially like the second picture in the last post with its well balanced use of depth of field. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I was experimenting with exactly this! I found that in the pictures before, I usually used deep depth of sharpness throughout the frame. But when walking through the Heide, I found it difficult to frame and picture the scenery so that a picture would look somehow adequate to what I was actually seeing. So my idea was to open up a little bit and use shallower depth of field... sometimes it worked out - at least a little bit 🙂
