And somewhat in contrast to Sigma 200mm f2, I imagine the 135mm to be easier to hold/use, as well as being substantially cheaper. 5
Advertisement Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Hi helged, Take a look here Sigma 135mm f1.4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Stuart Richardson Posted August 17 Share #2 Posted August 17 It is an interesting lens. I have to admit, however, that the debunked rumor of the 135mm APO Summicron was more appealing to me. I would rather a more compact and modest speed (2.8 or even f4 is fine), rather than a giant one like this is likely to be. I still use my 135m f4 Tele-Elmar a lot on the SL2, and I wish there were an autofocus, modern version that could do the same job. I often use the 90-280mm, but that is just giant, so there are times when it would be nice to have a compact, sharp telephoto. The closest I have now is the 105mm Sigma, but that is neither particularly long, nor particularly compact. The DOF of 135mm at 1.4 is kind of impractical for me at least. Certainly cool in some scenarios, however.
