reynoldsyoung Posted August 4 Share #1 Posted August 4 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey, folks! I want to change the order in which my profiles appear on my Q3 43. In other words, I want to move my Profile #3 to the Profile #2 position and move #2 to #6. Anyone have any ideas for changing the order of profiles without starting over? Many thanks!! Robert Ardinger Posted August 5 Share #2 Posted August 5 Have not found a "drag and drop" type of way to do this but was able to re-order the profiles with a sort of (cumbersome) "leap frog" "copy and paste" sequence. This method would only work if you have one profile slot empty (or sacrifice one and remake it manually). I set the camera up with a profile I wanted to move and then saved it into the "empty" slot, then set the camera up with the profile in the slot you want the "moved" one to go into and save it to the place the previously moved profile was, etc. Example: I want the profile currently in slot 3 to be in slot 1, then the one in slot 2 to go to slot 3 then the one in slot 1 to go to slot 2. Slot 6 is "empty". Set up camera with slot 1 profile active. Save it to the empty slot 6. Now the same profile is in both slot 1 and 6. Set the camera with slot 3 profile and save it to slot one. Now the profile that was in slot 3 is in slot 1 Rename as you go. Repeat as needed (for this example: then move slot 2 to slot 3 (which was already moved to slot 1), move slot 6 (which has the original slot 1) to slot 2.... This method worked but is tedious and after moving a couple of them this way I decided just to remake them in the slot I wanted them to be in (my profiles share a number of settings so just remaking them was not all that hard). I only wanted to reorder them in the first place as I have 2 similar cameras that basically have the same profiles and I wanted them both to be in the same order and the settings file made in one camera does not seem to be recognized by the other without manually modifying the file (which I was hesitant to do). LocalHero1953 Posted August 5 Share #3 Posted August 5 (edited) Same response as Robert! I wish Leica provided far more user profiles for Q, SL etc - at least 10, preferably more. Edited August 5 by LocalHero1953
