Hi,

My one year old Q3 recently glitched out on me whilst I was reformatting my SD card in camera. I had a message asking me to turn the camera off and on again. I did this and then received an auto focus error message. My camera is now stuck in a loop. I have removed battery, waited and then turned on. I have connected to power and done the same. My camera is still ‘bricked.’ The camera was running up to date firmware and an Sandisk high speed card. I’m really disappointed that the simple task of reformatting an add card could make my camera fall over in such a way. Anyone experienced a similar issue with their Q3?

Check to make sure the lens is not stuck between manual and autofocus, or that the macro ring has not been turned slightly.

As others have said, if that doesn’t work, try a different card and do a full reset of the camera.

How to fully reset the camera when you can’t even access the menu?
