MullingKintyre Posted July 9 Share #1 Posted July 9 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have just bought a Leica x1. It was in excellent condition but the battery clip/buckle was missing. The camera worked well but the lack of a sprung battery clip was putting undue strain on the battery bay door. I checked on eBay and obtained a new clip for £22.00. It arrived yesterday and, with the aid of a pair of eyebrow tweezers (my chunky fingers were far too big for the job)' I had it fitted in a couple of minutes. All is now working fine. Advertisement Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Hi MullingKintyre, Take a look here Leica x series battery buckle.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dkCambridgeshire Posted July 9 Share #2 Posted July 9 Same anomaly affects the X Vario but its clip design is slightly different . Unfortunately Leica Camera no longer offers support for X-series cameras but when they were 'supported'. replacement battery clip parts were offered FOC. Prudent to be very careful (i.e., gentle) when swapping over X series batteries – to avoid compromising the clip mechanism.
Einst_Stein Posted July 10 Share #3 Posted July 10 My XV clip was broken too. I didn't find replacement but I use XV L-bracket to hold the battery.
