The 35mm Summilux FLE has become a favorite lens of mine, but it does not have its own image thread, so I thought this one deserves one too. Feel free to post your own photos.

Starting with an image that conveys some ideas about the lens:

As the book says: impossible.

yes I have had the 35mm 'King of Bokeh', but I wanted something more like the 35mm Summicron V1 but  . .  just a tad better. Well here it is!

No flaws. That are artistic.

Well, artistically, as the text reads below Bert and Ernie: this is what it is now .

Amazing, loving your photo series!

I am about to buy this lens and was offered the second version in exchange for something else I had but said no in the end.

I probably will get the first version FLE, last item on discount, still new in box.

Hopefully will share my images here soon.

Is there an important difference between version 1 and 2?

The 2nd version of the ‘FLE’ has a built in hood and allows closer focusing, it also has a couple of additional aperture blades for a slightly rounder bokeh stopped down. Otherwise the optical formula is the same. Not sure if coatings are any different. Possibly.
