Sam K Posted June 30 Share #1 Posted June 30 Advertisement (gone after registration) Are there any filters for the D-Lux 8 which can work with the auto lens cap? I gather that the maximum width needs to be 2mm?

swdlux8 Posted July 20 Share #4 Posted July 20 You‘re welcome. I bought this filter a few days ago and it works great with the Leica auto lens cap. Some Leica stores have this filter in stock, but if you order directly from NiSi, it‘s cheaper.
Sam K Posted July 20 Author Share #5 Posted July 20 Thank you. Have found it online for the UK, which is great. Do you know if they do any other filters? Can't seem to see any.
swdlux8 Posted July 25 Share #6 Posted July 25 At the moment I only know about the UV filter, which works with the Auto-Lens Cap. An alternative would be the magnetic filters from Urth: https://eu.urth.co/collections/best-selling-gear/products/the-magnetic-essentials-filter-kit-plus?variant=42886648561832 Here at least the magnetic ring can remain under the Auto-Lens Cap. With the lens barrel extended, you can then simply attach an ND or CPL filter, as they simply hold magnetically. But only if the auto lens cap is open! So if you want protection against scratches and still want to use the Leica Auto-Lens Cap, there is no way around the NiSi UV filter.
