Interested in your comment about the R to L adapter. Definitely expensive. The M to L adapter has the sensor to read the lens bar code which is good but I’m wondering what, if anything, the R to L adapter offers?

R2L offers the readout of aperture and lens information, but no digital aperture control. That of course only works with R lenses providing that interface (contacts).

I think the Novoflex R2M adapter is sufficient. IIRC it is even coded as an R adapter.

I just found a used one, not too expensive and in perfect condition. I was a little worried about its weight, but I don't find it that heavy (with a Peak Design harness across my shoulder). The mechanism is wonderfully smooth. As for the image, what a luscious picture! It's sharp without distortion, but with plenty of presence. I'm thrilled.

First pix yesterday in Bénodet, Brittany, France (SL2-S + ISO 800 + f4 + rainy weather).
