moe313 Posted June 11 Share #1 Posted June 11 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am not really into online selling platforms like eBay but I am considering parting with my Leica CM. It is in excellent condition,I have just reached a point where I do not use it much anymore and think someone else could truly enjoy it. What is a smart, trustworthy way to pass this camera on to someone who will appreciate it? Thanks in advance for any input.

If you are not in too much of a hurry, I would entrust it to a commission sale with Red Dot Cameras in London. I can highly recommend them, and their commission rates are very reasonable. dkCambridgeshire Posted June 11 Share #3 Posted June 11 You appear to be USA based so a Leica Forum 'Classified' sales listing might be appropriate. Click on 'CLASSIFIEDS' at the top of the page and follow the prompts. The forum does not provide advice ref valuations – that's something a seller is wholly responsible for. moe313 Posted June 12 Author Share #4 Posted June 12 Thank you so much for the helpful suggestions. I had not considered a commission sale but I will definitely look into red dot cameras sounds like a solid option even if I am not in the UK. And thanks as well for pointing me toward the Leica Forum Classifieds. That might be the most practical route for me being in the U.S. I totally understand about the valuation part — I will do some homework on recent sales to gauge a fair asking price. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your advice. Best regards, Moe

Best regards, Moe The thing about going for a commission sale is that you will get the benefit of the selling agent's experience with regard to asking price. After all, it's in their interest to get the best price for you, and it's not in their interest to pitch it so high that the item doesn't sell.
