Hello everyone,

Does anyone know (possibly from experience) how long the repair times at Leica in Germany are?

I had my D-Lux 8 sent to the Leica Customer Care Service by my dealer, because the display glass started to click with normal touches (touch gestures). Apparently, the display was not installed firmly enough during production and has come loose over time.

I bought the camera about 2 months ago, so it is covered by the warranty.

Can someone tell me how Leica deals with the warranty with such material defects? Will there be a repair or rather a new camera replacement? And how long is the processing time approximately?

Given this camera is just a couple of months old you could try and ask the dealer to swap it out for another unit. The only issue is that these cameras are still hard to come by.
