rkny Posted May 28 Share #1 Posted May 28 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone found an alternative to the metal screw on hood for the current version of the 28mm 2.8 Elmarit ASPH? I’m considering buying the lens but would love to find a hood that’s less flared out and more like the Q3 hood or the 35/50 2.4 Summarit hood. I wouldn’t mind the stock hood so much if it weren’t $250 to replace, because I am definitely going to dent it at some point. I know that Squarehood makes one for the previous 28mm, but I believe the attachment system is not compatible with the latest lens. tappan Posted May 28 Share #2 Posted May 28 I have grown to not mind my new Elamrit 28's hood, though I mostly have used it without a hood, screwing in the filter protector thing that comes included at the bottom of the box/case.
