QP vs Q3

Anyone got both of these and have views about the relative merits? I've got some M digital bodies which were part funded by a Q2M sale. I love the M's but I still miss the utility of the Q2M when needed. I don't think I'd go for a monochrome again as I have a mono M, so it's a colour Q. I hate viewfinder blackout, I do want it to be able to focus well for an up close portrait single handed wide open. I don't think I need to crop much as I usually take the picture I want. It's got to be better than a phone so I'm not looking for f11 snaps of easy scenes (I'd take those on my phone) so the wider end of the spectrum and some nighttime scenes. I think I've got my head around the lack of document weather sealing on the QP. A flip screen is a small positive in my book but not if it kills the ergonomics.

Money isn't a primary issue but I don't like to spend it unnecessarily, I typically like P versions as I prefer the overall style. It does seem to me that these have probably bottomed out in price somewhat.

Anyone got side by side experience or thoughts on this? I did a search and not much come up as it was mostly Q vs Q2 or Q2 vs Q3.

I have not experienced viewfinder blackout on Q2, Q3 28 or Q3 43. But my setup is very simple with no continuous focus or any use of BT.

Style is subjective of course , but Q3 has better battery-life and is better sealed as well as having a better EVF.

It was helpful seeing Andy’s views having gone from type 116 to Q3 with no expression of regret. I do really like 24/28mm, but primarily I’m a 35mm shooter so the ability to have the 35mm crop lines with no shortage of resolution is an advantage.
