Hi, I've had my M9 for a few years now and started to see this green line on the top edge of the frame which is very scary.

Is the sensor dying? Something else? Usually only shows when I have a bright window in frame (so far).

This image was iso 400 f 2.8 1/125sec

The line only extends to the center of the image where the two sensor halves have been stitched together. So it originates in the right half. There is a known phenomenon with a green line appearing when there is a very bright light near the edge of the image, at the point where the green line starts. This is assumed to be caused by the light affecting calibration pixels at the edge of the sensor. However, there have also been reports of a green line indicating a faulty sensor, but in that case it should be visible also without the bright light source at the edge.

Thank you! After researching a bit since my post it indeed seems like this is a known phenonemon on the CCDs of M8 & M9, and nothing I need to worry about..

thanks for the reply !
