Leica M4-2 Safari 

 

Our coming auction will be held on October 11th 2025, 12.00 noon in Wetzlar.

From Wetlzar: 

As in the case of the gold-plated versions of the Leica R3 and M4-2, Leitz also planned the olive green Safari versions of both the R3 and the M4-2. In fact, only the R3 Safari found its way into series production, only a few samples of the Leica M4-2 Safari were made. Complete with Summicron-M 50 mm f/2 Nr. 2916520 in matching finish.
Very beautiful condition with only slight traces of use, helicoid and aperture resinous. The optics with haze.
