Hi everyone,

My name’s Daniel. I’m not new to the forum as a reader, but this is actually my first time posting.

I’ve been a happy owner of the Leica M11 since February and haven’t had any issues until this week. I noticed that the LCD and a few spots on the back panel (around the buttons on the left side of the screen and just above the screen) make a clicking or popping sound when pressed. If I press and hold my finger on the LCD, the clicking above the screen doesn’t happen, only when I release it. So I think the sound is coming from the LCD itself.

I haven’t found much info about M11 users experiencing the same thing, but I did come across some older posts about similar sounds on Q models, dating as far back as 2015.

So my question is: has anyone else experienced this with their M11? The camera works perfectly otherwise, and I assume it’s just a temperature related flex or something with the screen frame. My old M10-P never did this, and my Q3 doesn’t either but it has a tilting screen, so that might explain the difference.

I’d really prefer not to send it in to Leica if I can avoid it (mainly due to the waiting time), especially since I use it almost every day.
If it’s not something that could lead to a cracked screen or bigger issue, I can live with it, even if it is a little annoying.

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s had a similar experience and what the outcome was.

Thanks so much in advance!
