Hi all,

I have had my Leica Q3 28 since near launch, for as long as I can remember, the colours of the photos I am reviewing are much better (as in closer to the JPG out of the camera) when viewing it via EVF, when reviewing on the screen the colours look less saturated.

Has anyone been able to match the colours on the EVF to the screen?

thanks

You would need to do more work:

If you had the same shot showing on two Q3s with the same EVF settings and the two were identical, you could discount that.

If you saw a difference between the two EVFs then you could say it was a calibration issue, but then you have to ask which one is wrong?

If you had the same shot showing on two Q3s with the same EVF and LCD settings and the colors were different, you might say it was the calibration of the screens at a factory/supplier level.

Simplest solution: adjust the LCD until you are happy with the colors.

Thank you, sounds like it’s not something that is intended then.

This is my first Leica, on my other cameras, a lot were Sonys, the EVF review had the same colours as the screen review.

I ask as I use a lot of the JPEGs coming straight from the camera and only adjust raw files if I am printing or needing to significantly the shadows / highlights or de noise, so the review image is important for me to know if the JPEG coming out is good or not. At the moment, when culling on camera, I’m having to keep one eye closed  whilst the other eye is reviewing via EVF, a little bit tiring for the eyes!
