50 Lux ASPH M on SL2

Hi there, I’m considering an SL or SL2, mainly to get the most out of my 50 Lux ASPH that I’m using on a CL currently.

Is the resolution of the lens good enough to resolve greater detail on the 48MP of the SL2? Or does the 24MP of the SL top it out?

I used my 50 ‘lux asph (M) last summer on a SL3, and results were top notch.

It is not as much about resolving more or less detail for a given Lens as improving one part (here : the sensor) of the value chain from sensor to final result (print or screen). In improving one part, you improve the final result.
