Looking to a review by Cristopher Frost - this extreme focal length is not my choice. (But that mediocre quality is to be expected).

Rented this lens for trip to Svalbard for the SL3 despite the crop factor down to approximately 26mp. The light weight and bulk reduction was terrific. Got good 450mm equivalent snaps of walruses and polar bears from the ship. It would have to be a behemoth if L Mount native was used. Not the best but acceptable sharpness to the corners but with post sharpening, it’s a great solution for those who don’t shoot super tele all the time.
ctle Posted September 14 Author Share #4 Posted September 14 The Sigma 16-300mm is a decent and versatile zoom lens for Leica CL camera. Unfortunately, it has the same battery drain issue as mentioned in this post: https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/419265-sigma-lenses-battery-drain-conundrum/
