andrewj Posted April 6 Share #1 Posted April 6 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone encountered this issue? I if I rest the Leica Q3 on it’s back with the lens pointing upwards, the aperture ring tends to get stiff and needs more force to rotate it. Once it’s rotating, it rotates fine. If I rest the Leica Q3 upright, I don’t have this issue.
Advertisement Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Hi andrewj, Take a look here aperture ring gets stuck if Leica Q3 is stored on its back. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Knorp Posted April 6 Share #2 Posted April 6 Interesting. What happens if you rest the the camera with the lens pointing downwards ?
andrewj Posted April 6 Author Share #3 Posted April 6 I haven't tried that (yet) since I didn't want to put stress on the lens!

The aperture is smooth no matter what position I put the camera on. The only resistance is when it goes in or out of the A mode, which is intentional. I think you need to get the camera checked out.
