PeterKelly Posted April 3 Share #1 Posted April 3 Advertisement (gone after registration) I picked up this nifty little lens today based on the positive review by Fred Miranda. It is TINY (I believe the smallest lens currently available for Leica M) It comes with more goodies than you usually get with Voigtlander lenses and includes a slim UV filter a hood and two front caps, one for the hood and the other fits without the hood. I took it for a quick walk and shoot this afternoon and will post some images although they were mostly street shots using zone focusing and F8 so they probably won't do the lens justice. Despite it being incredible small I found it okay to handle - the hood can be used to set the aperture which gives you a bit more room on the lens. On of the guys on FM says he expects this will be an ideal 'F8 and be there lens" for street photography and my initial view agrees with that Here are a couple of pics the "monster" both with the hood and without Welcome, dear visitor! bcaslis Posted April 3 Share #2 Posted April 3 Looks like the paint matches the M11 glossy black paint. 😁
PeterKelly Posted April 3 Author Share #3 Posted April 3 Yes it’s a good match - 🙂 When I was out shooting with the lens this afternoon I was struck by how much my photography has changed. For many years I was predominantly a wildlife shooter and had the burden of lugging around big and heavy gear. Africa trips often required buying an additional seat on the flight into the camps to bring all the gear along. A couple of Nikon Z9’s a 500 f4 a 180-600 etc etc was considered overweight for these flights A M11 (even the “heavy” BP version) and this lens weigh next to nothing in comparison

PeterKelly Posted April 3 Author Share #5 Posted April 3 (edited) Jimmy Cheng just posted a review of this lens and did a much better job than I would showing it’s abilities. Bottom line - he quite likes it… Voigtlander 35mm f3.5 Color Skopa Review" width="200" data-embed-src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/H39op-8xj7U?feature=oembed"> Edited April 3 by PeterKelly Typo
hydet Posted April 9 Share #6 Posted April 9 I love this little lens. It was just what I needed for my film cameras shooting protests using zone focus. I set focus on the distance ring at 3 meters and everything is in acceptable focus from roughly 5' to 147' at f/8. Here is a test using my M11. Welcome, dear visitor!
