I am in the process of bringing up to speed a Valoy 2. - Started the rewiring process & going to need a baseboard as it did not come with one. I found the dimensions to be 15 1/2 x 17 3/4 but am unsure of the thickness? Would 1 inch be appropriate? I want to be sure the screws/hardware for the column will attach & fit securely in terms of length of the screws, etc. I plan to use MDF material (I was considering Baltic birch) as I hear it stays flat and is a commonly used material on modern enlarger baseboards.
