jmm1 Posted March 15 Share #1 Posted March 15 Advertisement (gone after registration) I use Davinci Color Managed when Color Managing Log files in DVResolve Works brilliantly every time including L-Log files from the SL2. Simply load the l_log files into a timeline and the color comes out perfectly. Today I tested a sample L-Log files from the SL3s. The Leica L-Log profile in DVR obviously needs updating as the DVR Color Management had no effect on the SL3s file. Anyone else experienced this? Advertisement Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Hi jmm1, Take a look here SL3s Leica Log files and Da Vinci. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Photoworks Posted March 15 Share #2 Posted March 15 I am using SL3 files just fine. Just change the Input color space from Rec2020 to Leica L-Log, right click in the media page or color page. John I use the SL2-S, Resolve does not automatically handle Leica log files without my intervention. Here is my workflow, which I have baked into a Powergrade that I apply to all SL2-S clips. I convert first to Davinci Wide Gamut, because I often combine these clips with clips from other cameras, which I also convert to the same colour space/gamma. I make clip-specific adjustments in that third 'Colour' node. The Noise Reduction is only used if necessary. First the input transform: Welcome, dear visitor! I have a similar workflow for BRAW files, but starting with a raw editing node, mainly used for correcting white balance. As a relatively recent newbie to video, I have received a lot of advice on this forum to develop this workflow, especially from @hansvons and @BernardC. You may be better off in Output Gamma to set it to a Gamma instead of Rec.709 For Web delivery, Gamma 2.2 for TV, DVD, Gamma 2.4 1
