kiwidad Posted March 10 Share #1 Posted March 10 Advertisement (gone after registration) Fresh battery and about 10 shots taken. Turned off and put in bag and next morning battery is flat. I read on photo.net I think it was that this is a bug and the only solution is to pull battery or another suggestion was to turn off WiFi in the fotos settings on the camera. Is any one else experiencing this?

JCF Posted March 10 Share #2 Posted March 10 (edited) what i experienced is that after I finish using the Leica Fotos app, i need to ensure that the connection has aborted. there are many times that i connect to the Fotos app, and then pack my camera, and the next time I check it, it's fully drained. flappo Posted March 10 Share #3 Posted March 10 I hardly use the fotos app thing as it dramatically slows down start up and shutdown One interesting feature is the addition of a self timer , which isn't easily accessible on the actual camera without delving into lots of sub menus

Same as JCF, need to be sure that connection with app is aborted otherwise the battery will drain. I am going to buy a second battery...
prymsnap Posted March 10 Share #5 Posted March 10 Don't know if this applies to your situation, but I found that with a brand new battery in the D-Lux 8, I the first charge didn't last as long as I had expected. But the good news is that subsequent charges were fine.
