Giuliobigazzi Posted March 8 Share #1  Posted March 8 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello there, I have come into possession of a prototype of the Daron lens for the Ilford witness. I’m trying to find images of other witness related prototypes. Is there a book I can find these in? Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Giuliobigazzi Posted March 8 Author Share #2  Posted March 8 (edited) Some photos to demonstrate the workings of the close focus mechanism,  activated by releasing a screw and moving the lever to the side. Eventually the Daron would lose the screw. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! dkCambridgeshire Posted March 9 Share #3  Posted March 9 Hello Giuliobigazzi, The book, ILFORD Faces, People and Places – The Cameras of Ilford Limited 1899-2005 , author Andrew J Holliman, documents the Ilford Witness camera and its three LTM 'interrupted thread' lenses. My PM to you also refers with additional links to other websites documenting the Ilford Witness which might be of interest.  The Ilford book is scarce and no longer in print. BW, dunk
Giuliobigazzi Posted March 9 Author Share #4  Posted March 9 Hi Dunk, thanks for all the info. This looks like a great book, but like you say, hard to find! If anyone on here has a copy I’d be interested to read the witness pages!
