-MR- Posted March 1 Share #1 Posted March 1 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi there, i hope you have a nice weekend and preparations for zombie apocalypse are progressing well. I have a question: Leica Q3 28 = If I take DNGs with the internal crop function at 35mm or 50mm, will these DNGs be displayed in Adobe Camera Raw with that crop (even though the full image is always saved)? Can I see the original crop I selected when shooting (i.e., 35mm or 50mm) in Adobe Camera Raw? I’m desperately searching for Q3 DNGs at 35mm or 50mm on the internet, but I can’t find any. Can someone upload some for me? WeTransfer? Thank you ! 🥀
Advertisement Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Hi -MR-, Take a look here Crop and Camera Raw -. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Ad Dieleman Posted March 1 Share #2 Posted March 1 Upon import into ACR (Camera Raw) or LR (Lightroom (Classic)) the crop used in the Q3 is applied immediately after import, so you will see the cropped image. Activate the crop tool and you'll see the crop in the full-size image. As far as I can find (and I tried!), there is no easy way to re-apply the original crop after you modified the crop in ACR or LR. I uploaded a DNG file into my public Dropbox folder. It's a file created with the Q3 in 35mm crop mode and directly copied from the SD card; download it with this link: DNG file
